This blog is created to fulfill the requirements of 5013, ISAR. Competencies will be posted here during the term and turned in via this blog. The area of interest is Outreach Public Library Programs or Services. This blog will be used for discussions and links to information on outreach programs in place at public libraries to bring library services to individuals or communities that are unable to actually visit the library in person. Specific emphasis should be placed on programs involving predominantly electronic format via the Internet if possible. (Comp. #1)

Outreach Services provides library services to persons throughout Fayette County who need extra help using library services and facilities. Our target audiences include:
Homebound adults and those in nursing or retirement centers
Children and young people in day care centers, Head Start programs, and special at-risk programs
Adult literacy and English as a Second Language (ESL) learners.
